Cat Totem Pole

Started a film with close-ups of the creatures on the totempole. It looks so atmospheric and reminds me of the sunken rose-coloured city in Petra Jordan, where I spent a couple of months doing missionary work years ago..
This would be such a good giant waterfall..
This ghoul-like unfired stonewear piece is destined for the next exhibition in May. She has now been fired and is awaiting a finish worthy of her personality..
'Cat Mummy' Celebrating the life and spirit of the domestic cat. Again looking back at how the Ancient Egyptians worshipped the feline, even mummifying them after death! This is my latest work that I have just finished. It will be fired in the next week. Linda Whichelow 11.02.14
A back view of the newly finished 'Mummy Cat Totem'. I was planning another Egyptian Cat Totem Pole, but the clay seemed to want to go in another direction, as it does now and then..
Certainly inspired by the Mummified Cats in the British Museum. From 300bc they had large cat cemetaries too.. :-)
