'Come Into my Life' Installation
Hortensia Gallery Chelsea until 30.5.13...'Come into my life' installation features a controlling Magnetic Alien Totempole, which draws the other creatures to it. The followers perform acrobatic rituals as they get closer, but once they reach the alien.. they lose their identity, becoming one of the pole's lowest creatures. The Orange widow has somehow managed to escape, but at a cost. She remains in the depths of despair...
Again at Hortensia Gallery Chelsea 24/5/13 with another view of 'Come into my life' Installation. This time with the work of Limor Chen with its chains and flowers in the far distance. 'I am delighted to be positioned within viewing distance of Limor's latest work 'Emerging Hope'. Although hugely different to my own, it compliments it wonderfully... Thinking of hope, notice the contrasting faces of 'The orange widow when she is facing the alien, compared to the more comfident expression below. ' Linda Whichelow
Taken just after speaking at our seminar with with the public Tuesday 28th May 2013, Hortensia Gallery, Chelsea
A close-up of the top of the 'Controlling Alien Totem Pole' Sculpture.. "It's about control', says Linda, and whenever society attacks weaker members whether animals, children, or the elderly in some instances perhaps, we have a big problem. A high proportion of sales revenue is going to animal charities for this ethereal installation. See latest press release concerning proposed badger cull! LW
Back view of The Monumental Magnetic Alien Totem Pole.. Quite a crowd puller.. but it was positioned closest to the bar area..
Looking more monumental than ever..
