Elsa, named after the lioness in 'Born Free' is my own pet, and muse..
Cat on Mars.... Because I am so found of felines, I like to get a good likeness, but every once in a while I go crazy!
Some quick sketches, inspired by the cats that model my cat Elsa's favourite cat food..
Old Bronze 'Egyptian Cat Totem Pole
The rich dark shades in this painting look particularly dramatic as a wall rug or smart cushion cover. Your pet portrait is not limited to canvas or a frame..
Exhibiting the Egyptian CatTotem Pole at Hortensia Gallery, Chelsea
Egyptian Cat Totem Pole Light Bronze
How nice to choose the right frame. Sometimes I make my own! I learned the skill at Mary Ward Centre Holburn, where I did my Pre- Foundation Art & Design a while back.
Monkey Cat

Elsa in the garden, amongst the wall planters etc that were made last year in the Chelsea Studio.
Latest 'Cat Mummy' celebrating the life and spirit of the domestic cat.
Back view of new 'Mumified Cat Totem', which is waiting to be fired. I was planning another 'Egyptian Cat Totempole' as I still can't bare to part with the original, but the clay seemed determined to go in another direction!
The old bronze powder finish fits the Mummified Cat Sculpture so well..

This crazy orange leopard-like cat is in memory of 'Rocky' that used to visit my house a lot, mainly consuming the food Elsa didn't feel like eating her self. It has definately captured something of his personality and the neck adornment perhaps portrays his importance... :-)
Enjoy a sculpture or painted portrait of your own or a friends cat. Whether classical or contemporary, I promise it will arrive within 8 days..🤩
